Tonight’s plan was to work out properly at the gym. Unfortunately, my uber healthy lunch of salad did not tie me over so I headed home for dinner and planned on working out an hour after eating. Instead, I come home to find the leaves on my three rose bushes wilted and yellow. It appears I was a little over zealous last week in using pesticide. I vowed to get those pesky bugs that were eating the leaves. Well, I sure showed them! Now there are almost no leaves! Take that, you stupid bugs!
Trimming the rose bushes took about an hour and a half. Almost killing my rose bushes put me in a funk and therefore interefered with my work out. At least, this is the story I’m selling myself.
I love this commercial!
I am easily amused by the mishaps and misadvendtures of others. Does that constitute evil?

And this would be why you should never add your boss to your FB friends. What a total dumbass!!!
McDonald’s for dinner. There goes the progress. Whatever happened to my iron will?
Well, well, well…I skipped working out on Wednesday and Thursday but at least I managed a work out today. Not only did I ride for 30 minutes but I also lifted (triceps and shoulders). It’s nice to have a flat screen to distract you while you sweat. Additionally, it’s also nice to get home before 11 P.M. and actually have time to exercise.
I would like to attribute my 1/2 lb change in weight to my diligent work outs this week, but it’s probably just the bathroom stop I made prior to weighing myself. Current weight is 110.8. Target weight is 106. Actually, scratch that. I’m probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 23% body fat, according to a questionable, archaic body fat machine, and my target is 14% by mid-November. I’ll give myself another week of “La-Dee-Da” work outs to warm up and allow my muscles to be accustomed to doing something other than lounging and surfing the web, then it’s time to increase the intensity.
Seriously contemplating liposuction from my good friend’s husband, the doctor.
I’ve been procratinating for months (about 6 or 9 to be more exact) about working out again. Yesterday, I rode the bike trainer for 30 minutes and also worked my abs. Small baby steps. Tonight, even though I am exhausted, I managed to ride another 30 minutes. I tried talking myself into working out my legs but my powers of persuasion weren’t working. Small baby steps. There should be a 12 step program for recovering couch potatoes.
My other new healthy habit is to be in bed by 11:00 PM on the weekdays. It is now 10:05 PM. I’m hoping I make my curfew on the first night or else it’s rather pathetic. Tomorrow I’m gunning for an hour of lifting…make that 30 minutes. Small baby steps. I was 14% body fat once and I can get there again. Disturbingly, this is beginning to sound like daily affirmations.
